Camp

We went out to the camp to visit Vacya this morning.  He was really excited to see us and asked if he was going to leave with us today.  A few older girls that Tammy was talking to said that some of the boys beat Vacya up all the time because he is being adopted.  He didn't look too bad, but there were some older, yellow bruises on his face.  We told him only a few more days before we can take him with us.  We haven't heard anything about the prosecutor appealing, but Andrei isn't going to call the court until Monday when our 10 days are up.  I don't know if anybody from the appeals court would notify us if there was an appeal or not.

I'm anxious for him to come home and get away from those other kids. I'm sure it must be hard for them each time someone is adopted and they are left behind, but it is scary to hear about Vacya getting antagonized. I hope all goes well and there is no appeal!

I agree with Julie. I'm praying that you will hear good news on Monday, and that you can get Vacya out of there!
Just two more days, guys! Hang in there.

We have been praying that the final process will go speedy! We all miss you very much. All is well here. A word of praise Jeremiah's iron is up! It has been very low for a long time so it was wonderful news to know it went up. Nathanael's 2 month check up was good too. He is 12lbs 10 oz already! Javan is getting a new bike! Malachi is being a very big helper with the baby! Give hugs to Vacya from his Auntie Sarah and Uncle Michael.

With all our love,
The Scates Clan
