YES!

We have our court approval!!!! Now we just have to wait the 10 days until the adoption is finalized. We were not able to get permission to have Vacya stay with us during the 10 day waiting period, so we took him back out to the camp this evening. He was very happy when we told him that the judge said yes and asked us about it several times just to make sure. He was bummed when we told him that we had to take him back to the camp, but we explained that he would be with us after the 10 days and we will come to visit him in the meantime. There is still a chance that the prosecutor could appeal the judge's decision, but she has no grounds, so it would just be overturned. The only problem is that it could extend the waiting period beyond the 10 days if she does appeal. Please pray that the prosecutor will just let it be so that we can get this process finished as soon as possible.

Praise God!!! What a blessed site
to see!
I am very sorry that you did not get permission to have Vacya in your care over the next 10 days but
this is a "drop in the bucket" compared to what you've been through.
What is the next step please?
At what point do you update the birth certificate?
Visa? Ect
I love you, Mom

It was good to hear from you today! We were all super excited to hear the news. I hope that all goes well and that the process is not drug out by the prosecutor. I understand the directors decision about the 10 days, although wishing that he would not have to had to make it. Hopefully the next ten days fly by and you can start getting the paperwork that you need to get home. We love you guys and can't wait to hear that you have landed safely back in the U.S. with your son.

Lots of hugs,
The Hartley's

Leave it to Malachi eh?

Joe and Jaime, I am so happy about you finally being able to get over this hurdle. Just a couple weeks left now, and you'll be back home with your whole family in-tact. Take it from someone who waited a long time, too, (although different circumstances, I know) - You really will forget about all the hassle and the heartaches and anxiety and you will just face each new day grateful and delighted to have your precious child. I feel so much love for Vacya already, as I know you and so many others do, too.

XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX
YAY!
CONGRATULATIONS!

I am so sorry I haven't commented in ages! We have been so busy! I am so glad to hear you got your approval and I will pray every night for you that you get through your ten days with no more trouble!

I hope you will be home and safe and sound in ten days or eleven I suppose.. Maybe more depending on your flight schedule and whatnot.

I really am sorry I haven't stopped by here lately but like I said, busy. Today is now... the 13th and it is 1:45 am and I just about to go to bed. Wade and I got married today and had a BEAUTIFUL wedding!

I will be thrilled to show you pictures as soon as I can!
